Called to be Chosen and Glorified
Maureen Mimidoo Fateh nee Tarka was born on the 12th of May 1964. She was the middle child and only female among seven siblings. The daughter of Senator Joseph Sarwuan Tarka; she attended Kaduna Capital School, Queens College Yaba, Lagos, and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, from where she graduated with LLB in 1984.
She qualified to practice law in 1985 and from then had been exposed to various facets of legal practice, working as a pupil State Counsel at the Federal Ministry of Justice, State Counsel with the Benue State Ministry of Justice, where she spent six years before her career took a new direction in 1992, where she joined National Properties Limited (later NICON Hotels), as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser.
Maureen remained in corporate practice until 2008, rising to become Deputy General Manager and Alternate Director at NICON Hotels Limited. She ventured into private enterprise taking with her company Zadoo foods, as well as Partnering in fee law firm Legal Options & Co.
A committed Christian, Maureen focused her energy on empowering and mentoring young Christians at her local assembly, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja and working closely with the Throne Room Trust Ministries Kafanchan.
In early 2017, Maureen was diagnosed with cancer and was called home on the 25th December of the same year. She is survived by her husband, Fateh Apeh Fateh and their three children.
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.
